Florian Hartlieb (*1982, Unna/Germany) is an German composer and multimedia artist. He lives and works in Bochum and Vienna/Austria.
From 2005-2007 he was a student of the composer Luis Antunes-Pena. Since 2006 he studies electronic-composition at the ICEM (institute for computermusic and electronic media) of the Folkwang University in Essen, Germany with Prof. Thomas Neuhaus. At the University of music and performing arts Vienna he studied electronic compositon with Prof. Dr. Karlheinz Essl in 2010.
From 2006 to 2008 he had a scholarship from the Folkwang University and in 2009 he won the first prize in the 'Jeu de Temps / Times Play' (JTTP) Competition by the Canadian Electroacoustic Community (CEC) and the German Association for electronic Music (DEGEM).
Since 2005 Hartlieb is a member of the multimedia art-project kybernetikon ruhr, invented by the visual-artist Jürgen H. Stutzinger. In March 2010 he initialised the TransAtlantic Soundscape with the American artist Jordan Tynes.
